Road Trip with Jesus
Summer is for traveling, especially in WNY. But as we go, I want to remind us of the words of an old hymn: “Take the name of Jesus with you, child of sorrow and of woe. It will joy and comfort give you, take it then where’er you go.” Like Flat Stanley, we can take Jesus with us and have Him show up in various places. How? That is what we will talk about this weekend as we look at Titus 3:1-8.
Promote Godly Living
Titus chapter 2 can be summed up with Micah 6:8. How does God want us to live? What does God really want from us as followers of Jesus? "He has told you what is good, and what the Lord requires of you. To live justly, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." It's not that hard to understand, but it is impossible to live this out without the Holy Spirit doing His work in and through us. Come and hang out with us this weekend as we walk through Titus chapter 2 and talk through some tips and tricks on how to live a godly life.
Thanks Dad!
There is work left to do. We have unfinished business. Those were the implications of merger talks between two corporations. But our faith journey is not a merger but a shut down and restart. We will look at the why and what behind unfinished business for us as we begin a new series called “Unfinished Business.” Read Titus chapter 1 to prepare.
Contentment
What do social acceptance, relational friendships, empathy for those less fortunate and marital bliss all have in common? They are areas where we want to enjoy contentment. Another area on this list in Hebrews 13:1-6 has to do with how we handle money. It can be a resource or a snare. We will see how in this two-week mini-series “Cravings.”
Follow The Heart of God
As we finish up the “Heart of God” series and begin our new service times, we will be talking about how to follow God’s heart for the world. Read John 1:35-50 to be ready.
