Thankful

Today (November 27) my husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. We were married the day after Thanksgiving in 2009. So, each year we celebrate around the Thanksgiving holiday, and I cannot imagine a better time to give thanks for what we have.

After my first marriage failed, I wondered if I would find someone to share my life with and fulfill the desire to start a family. When I met Jeff our first phone conversation lasted nearly four hours. I remember laughing until my sides hurt whenever we spent time together. I could not believe that I had found someone that I felt so comfortable with almost immediately. It seemed like a miracle. After we got married, we found out about two months later that we were expecting. Another miracle.

We definitely have had our share of tough times, loss of loved ones, challenges, etc. but God has been so good to us through it all. My husband and son are gifts from God, and I am so very grateful for all He has done.
