God Our Father

Peter Sklepik / Production Director and Audio Coordinator

Before becoming a father, I never understood the significance of God being our father. I’ve always viewed God as Who is He is, God. Which is funny because the trinity is literally FATHER, Son and the Holy Spirit.

My daughter relies on me for everything: provision, protection, love, and yes, diapers … lots of diapers. She somehow knows who I am when she hears my voice and whether she knows it or not, she trusts me, I can see it in her eyes. We need to view God and trust Him in this same way.

John 10:27-30 says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Matthew 6:26 says, “Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?” So, this tells me that our God is a good and gracious Father. Let's view Him as that and nothing else!
