“But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing before it even happened.” Romans 4:20

I was blessed to be able to go on the trip to Harvey Cedars Summer Camp a few weeks ago. As I went, I was so excited for the kids to experience the Lord together. Little did I know that He was working on my heart as well! The first morning we got there my devotions were on Abraham and his faith in the Lord no matter what circumstances he faced.

When we had our first leader meeting, and got our leader booklets, I saw the entire week was called Authentic Faith. The speaker talked about having faith when we face circumstances that are so much out of our control or when we are hurting. In those moments, we are faced with the real question: even if the Lord does not come through the way I thought things were going to go, is the Lord of heaven and earth - who created me - is He enough for me?

As we all worshiped together, kids were raising their hands and singing from the depths of their soul! I could feel the Lord’s presence around us. Kids were brought to tears. In small group each one of our girls were touched and moved to draw closer to Christ and lift their burdens to those around them. We supported each other and prayed with faith in the God who moves mountains!

It was so beautiful to see the Lord work in all of our hearts. And I declare over my life and over each and every circumstance and hurt that I face: the Lord Jesus is enough for me!!!
