Be Kind
Dawn Waggoner / Executive Assistant
Have you ever had the Lord “speak” to you about something you knew you were doing wrong, but didn’t want to acknowledge it? I often find myself being frustrated and impatient during my 30-minute drive to work. I never realized there were so many slow drivers on the road until my commute extended beyond five minutes. Recently as I was driving behind yet another slow driver, a song was on the radio and the lyrics were talking about kindness. It struck me in that moment that I wasn’t always kind to slow drivers. Whether driving too close or passing them impatiently, my lack of kindness was likely evident to them.
So now as I drive I find myself saying “Be kind” as a reminder for how I should act. I still find myself getting frustrated initially when I get behind a slow driver, but then “Be kind” comes to mind and I start to relax and can drive with a little more patience.
What is the Lord “speaking” to you about today?
