Remember, He'll Be Faithful Again
Deanna Gworek / Global Missions Assistant
I recently heard the song “Remember to Remember” by Steven Curtis Chapman. The song is a reminder to remember how God has helped you through hard times and how He’s never left you even if things seem dark. Psalm 77: 11 came to mind, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the world around us, we start to believe that we are in control, that we have to make things happen and it can cause us to miss out on all the amazing things God is doing every day.
I’ve kept a prayer journal for a few years now. One of my favorite things to do is to go back through to keep praying. What’s even more thrilling is when I realize God has answered my prayers. When that happens, I write down the outcome next to the original prayer. It has become a beautiful resource of all the things God has done in my life and the lives of the people I’m praying for. Whenever I start to doubt or get a little impatient, I pull out my journal and remember all the works of God that I’ve experienced firsthand.
When you know that God has been faithful in the past, you remember that He’ll be faithful again.
