My ROCK of FAITH

One day a couple of weeks ago, I was feeling discouraged in an area that I have been trusting the Lord in. In addition, that evening the kids pushed every button on my “don’t push that button” list. I went to bed feeling overwhelmed and sad.

I did not sleep well and woke up feeling tired and still discouraged. My mind wandered as I sat quietly for my early morning devotions. I can’t even tell you what I read, but I remember feeling I needed a touch from God.

Every morning I stop at the same Tim Horton’s to get my morning cup of coffee. I parked in a spot I often park in but this day was different. As I got out of my truck, I happened to glance down on the ground and spotted what I believe was a sweet message from my Heavenly Father. I saw a bright yellow painted rock with the word “FAITH” written on it. How timely was this creative word from the Lord when my faith was so low.

I shared my story with some friends of mine who I have been gently sharing the Gospel with. One girl in particular I believe was very touched. Her eyes lit up as I shared what an incredibly loving and creative God we serve and how much He wants to draw near to us… so much that He would put a rock in our path!

I didn’t take the rock as a reminder because I felt someone else needed to be encouraged as well, but I did snap a pic! 😊

May you be encouraged knowing that our God loves us, is so very personal, knows our every need and simply asks us to wait patiently for His plan to be revealed.

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1
