If He Loves Me This Much
by Dawn Waggoner / Executive Assistant
Lately, I have been thinking about how I might feel or what I might say when I meet Jesus face to face. As I picture this in my mind, I am overcome by the feeling of regret. When I look in His face there is love, but also the knowing that I missed out on so many opportunities. Opportunities to love others, be less selfish, tell others about Him … I wonder how I can so easily get caught up in the distractions of the day-to-day routines and my to-do list, that I forget all He has done for me. How is it that I so easily forget and put myself first instead of others?
If my Lord and Savior can take my beating and my death on a cross, then surely I can tell everyone I meet of His love and goodness. I find myself praying that I can remember His love and sacrifice all day long, so I can share it with all I meet. One of my favorite new songs is “Reckless Love” by Cory Asbury. If He loves me this much, how can I not love others the same?
