Everything God Plans Will Come To Pass!

A few weeks ago on a Thursday morning, during woman’s prayer an action-thought entered my mind. I knew it was from the Holy Spirit because it entered my wavelength when I was praying about something completely different. God got my attention. After prayer was over, I proceeded to my office and forgot to take action on the thought. Friday morning during the middle of Vibrant, the same thought entered my mind. Again, after Vibrant was over I proceeded to my office and forgot to take action on the thought. First thing Saturday morning, a re-occurrence of the thought entered my mind before I even stepped a foot out of bed. This time, I immediately picked up my phone and texted my very ill friend to see if I could come for a visit. I was confident the only reason I was thinking about this person was because God had a plan.

I knew God was up to something because this friend, who the Holy Spirit was prompting me to visit, had not wanted any visitors for several years due to the medical issue he was struggling with. His illness was progressing and his death seemed close at hand. I figured I would be right up front and state I wanted to come and talk about God; that way no one would be surprised or taken off guard and he could decline if he didn’t want to talk.

Not sure what I was going to discover as I entered the hospital room, I prayed for God’s wisdom but more so for God’s words. I wasn’t sure where he was regarding a relationship with Christ or even if he had any kind of faith for all that matters. All I know is, God had a plan and knows how everything is going to turn out. So, the first thing I asked was, “Do you have any questions about God?” Without any hesitation he answered yes; then immediately all the questions rolled off his tongue. We sat together for two hours just talking about the Lord. I later discovered he had wanted to ask someone these questions for some time, but did not have anyone to ask. I am so glad the Holy Spirit was so persistent with me to go visit my friend. What a blessing to be a part of what God’s is doing.

Jesus answered my friend’s prayers by bringing someone to him so he could ask his questions about faith. The Lord answered my prayers by giving me the words He wanted me to say.

“Remember the things I have done in the past.
For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.
Only I can tell you the future before it even happens.
Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.”  Isaiah 46:9-10

I am reminded that God knows the beginning from the end and all the pieces in-between. God put the pieces together by opening my friend’s heart, eyes and mind to God, by orchestrating our visit at just this moment in time. He knows the past and the future and everything in-between. What an amazing God we have!
