Life can be a bit chaotic at times, can’t it? In our student ministry, we’re currently addressing the sources of chaos and stress in our life. If we’re honest, it’s all too easy to get overwhelmed when thinking about the long list of things we have no power to control. From time to time, we’re tempted to simply stick our head in the sand and live in blissful ignorance. That only works for a short time, however, and then reality strikes.

1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” God loves us enough to accept our anxiety, stress, and chaos. Oftentimes we don’t want to overwhelm our friends and loved ones with our issues but with God it isn’t a problem. We don’t ever have to worry about overwhelming Him. He delights in easing our burdens. So when you’re tempted to blow off some steam this week, try pointing it in His direction. When the future seems uncertain, we can focus on today and trust that He holds tomorrow!
