Giving Directions

What if you were able to read the newspaper that was to be published three years from now? All the news then is still our future. But because you are the only reader, you have insight no one else has. It would be troubling and exciting at the same time. Such was the experience of Daniel as he was given a glimpse into the future by God. He was looking at things yet to happen and he did not know what to make of it all. God used him to foretell bits of the future that eventually became our history. It was all precisely true. We look at how God has placed us as heralds of the future, people who have insight into what is to come and how we can prepare.
