Jesus Take the Wheel

I have often heard people use this expression to illustrate how they allowed Jesus to steer their lives in a certain direction.

Recently, while driving to work one morning, that expression became a reality. As I traveled on the thruway during rush hour traffic, I made a turn onto an onramp and suddenly, my vehicle’s back tire caught a patch of black ice. Instantly, fear gripped me as my vehicle skidded side to side, coming inches from the guardrail and the vehicles that surrounded me.

I called on the name of Jesus to protect me and very calmly, I managed to steer my vehicle to safety. I truly believe the Lord and His angels saved my life that day. I wonder what the other motorists thought while they witnessed a near-collision?  I pray they thanked their Heavenly Father for their protection as well!

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.  Psalm 91:11
