A New Season
Justin Jones / Lead Pastor
Thank you, Eastern Hills Church family, for entrusting me to lead our church into this next season! Janelle and I are so grateful to the Lord for His grace, providence, and blessings and to each one of you for your kind words of support and prayer over the past several weeks. As I walked into the church building Monday morning, I was grateful for the opportunity to keep serving this community of people that Janelle has been part of for over 20 years and I have been part of for over 14 years.
Know that I will commit to loving, serving, and leading this church to the best of my ability for as long as God gives me the opportunity to do so. As I said over the weekend in my message, my prayer is that as we step into this new season, we will continue to be a transformational, discerning, and an adventurous church.
A couple things I would ask of each of you:
Would you please commit to praying for our family as we embark on this new journey? One of the greatest blessings we get to hear is when someone tells us they regularly lift us up in prayer.
If you attend our church (even if you were concerned or hesitant about the transition) would you commit to being as faithful to attend as possible from now until Easter? From now until Easter, we will be discussing the vision for where our church is heading in the next several years and we would love to have you as part of that discussion.
If you are reading this and have not been to church in a long time, consider joining us again in this season. By God’s grace, this year has been the largest increase in membership in our church in 20 years and we believe this is just the beginning. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, you are always welcome!
