Questioning and Believing

I think that most of us would agree that as humans have evolved, they have become more intelligent or smarter. We see evidence of this with new discoveries, greater inventions and more conclusive problem solving.

What confuses me is the reality that the smarter we get, the more difficult it is to believe. Yes, we are smarter, but that leads to greater skepticism of what we believe. We question until we are convinced. Even once we are convinced there may still be times of questioning.

If we are left to our own reasoning abilities or thought processes, we may never truly believe.

When we made the choice to believe who Jesus Christ is (the Son of God, our Savior) we received a gift, The Holy Spirit. God’s Holy Spirit. This Spirit is now within us, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave.

By God's grace the Holy Spirit within us, along with reading His word daily, enables us to determine the truth and believe. Amen!
