Where is God?

The world is in chaos. The streets are filled with rioting, anarchy, profanity, and hate. Ecclesiastes says, “there is nothing new under the sun.” It’s the heart of man on display. It’s the way we were born – in sin. It will be that way until Jesus comes. The Bible says it’s a fallen world, do you expect anything different?

So where is God? Well, God is omnipresent (everywhere), He is omniscient (He knows everything), and He is omnipotent (all powerful). He knows exactly what is going on and is as grieved by it as He has always been. One time he felt so sorrowful and pained by it that He sent a flood. (Thank God, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, Genesis 6:4-8).

God was still committed to His plan of redemption! No one fully understands His plan because He is infinite, and we are merely finite creatures. He is in ultimate control. You will find Him present in Israel, also in Iran, Iraq, China, Russia, and in NYC, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Kenosha, and (any city), USA.

You see, we are His witnesses in this sin-cursed world. We are to walk in the light as He is in the light. We are to shine in the darkness. Souls will come to Jesus in the midst of the chaos, confusion, and persecution that surrounds. If you see the right news media, you will see reports of people coming to Christ. I saw someone being baptized on a city street in Kenosha yesterday, and people accepting Christ in the city of Boston. Did you see it? That’s the way God works – through us. The darker it gets, the brighter our light.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.

Even COVID cannot stop the light of Christ. It shines through, mask and all.
