Late Night Reflections and Reminders

Like many families right now, ours is going through struggle.

As this social distancing continues, things are getting tougher for us. It seems like every few weeks a new challenge has come our way even before we’ve fully dealt with the previous ones.

As I lay in bed worrying some nights, I remind myself that I know God is in control. I know that if I keep my mind steadfast on Him, He will give me peace.

When I think about it clearly, I’ve realized God has been preparing me to walk through this hard time. By earnestly working through the “Emotionally Healthy Spirituality” book I’ve been able to process my emotions and I’ve seen the benefits of taking a few breaks throughout the day to center myself back to God. I was also obedient in starting a one-on-one discipleship two months ago, which has given me many of the tools I’ve needed to keep my head above the waves.

Even though we are not together, remember that we are not alone. God is always with us, giving us what we need as long as we are trusting in Him.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3
