For God so Loved the World

I have been praying for weeks about what the Lord wants me to write in this Engaging Story:

First, what came to mind was the chorus of the hymn “How Great is Our God,” in different languages!

Second was a scenario in Israel at the dungeon believed to be the site that our Dear Lord Jesus was detained after He was arrested, where scriptures are now available for visitors to read, meditate and reflect upon, again, in many languages!

Third was a speaker in an international ministerial conference. He learned Spanish from scratch in order to help and minister to illegal immigrants detained at the border; there were thirty new converts in the recent baptism!

Fourth was a South Carolina bi-cultural pastor with tremendous Kingdom mindset. He keeps thanking the Lord for the obedience of his Spanish-speaking disciples; most of them surrendered to the Lord’s call, left the church and returned to their home countries to bring Good News to their people and disciple them. The church multiplication movement is continuing through disciple-making!

And now finishing up this article in Downstate New York: I'm sitting in a Senior Apartment watching a retired Italian Missionary who served in Mexico, now making Middle Eastern food (hummus) for her church’s community hour this coming Sunday!

Thank you, Lord! On the face all of the above do not seem to relate to each other, but deep down they are all pointing to the exact same theme: Your Master Plan. You so loved the world and, not wanting anyone to perish, sent Your son, then called all of us of all nations to make disciples of all nations! Thank You, Lord! Praise You for all!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
