"Moses answered the people. He said, 'Don't be afraid. Stand firm. You will see how the Lord will save you today. Do you see those Egyptians? You will never see them again. The Lord will fight for you. Just be still.'" Exodus 14:13-14
This time of year, I find it especially difficult to just be still. Whether it is working to prepare for the school year or managing multiple schedules, being still doesn't come easily. When conflict arises, our human nature is to jump into action.

This scripture has been a beautiful reminder to me that there are times I will not have a solution to crisis. I will not find resolution by my own strength. But what does God tell us?

Don't be afraid.
Stand firm.
Just be still.

Knowing that I can rest in His strength and He will fight for me is an incredible comfort.
