Not Built on the Outcome

I find myself listening to a lot of sermons from a lot of different preachers because I love the different ways they can look at the same scripture or how they can find so many ways to guide us during a difficult time.

I have been in a season of difficult times. I have worried when I didn’t need to (because God is with me), I have stressed during the process (when God was already working), and I have cried waiting for things to come (when God already had a plan). But what I have learned through all of this is that my foundation in the Word and my confidence in my Savior has taught me this important lesson …

My faith is not built on the outcome!

My faith is built on the cornerstone and He is mighty, and He will hold me up, no matter what the outcome is. My God is bigger than my situation and He will endure long after my situation is forgotten.

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Not through a God who gives me the outcome of my heart, because He knows better than I do, and I will trust in Him.
