Trust the Process

Autumn Aquilina / Next Gen Ministry Assistant

I was three-years-old the first time I came to our church. I don’t remember the day or exactly what happened, but I knew that I found a home. Eastern Hills has been my second home for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown and learned from so many wonderful people. As I think back on all the years I’ve spent here it is truly amazing how, in every season, God has equipped me in every way to be where I am right now. He places and molds us so precisely according to His purpose, even when nothing seems to make sense or fit together from our point of view.

What is God doing in my life? I believe He is in every moment training and equipping me for what is next although I don’t know what that is. He is always working. I’m learning to trust in the in-between and the unknown. I, like most people, am not fond of change but when God is the focus there is a peace that is incomparable. When there are times I feel incompetent or inadequate to do what I am in the midst of, I am trusting in the Lord and how He has prepared me for every step on this walk of Faith.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
