Real Friendship
Jenine Szymanski / Next Gen Resource Coordinator
When my husband and I started attending EHC nearly 18 years ago, I was overwhelmed to say the least. As an engaged couple (followed by marriage and then children), I was really in need of true friends. Those women who I could laugh or cry with, who could give me advice and would celebrate milestones too. I truly found that here.
As our children grew and families have moved on, those relationships have changed but are still as important now as they were in those early days. With some BIG scares in our lives lately I know, without a doubt, that I can still reach out to them even if months have gone by. These women have texted, provided meals, sent cards, called, and hugged me through each of these events. They are those rare people who ask how you are and then wait for an answer. God has shown up not only in these events of recent weeks, but in those friendships forged in fire long ago.
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.”
