Experiencing God's Faithfulness

Scott Wilson, Facilities Manager, is sharing a story of God's faithfulness to him. See how God is working in the details of daily life to prove His character to us, and to those we share it with!

God is so faithful. He is working for our good even when we don’t know it.
I experienced His faithfulness last week firsthand.
I was leaving the church when I heard an unusual sound with my vehicle. I didn’t think too much of it because it seemed to drive okay. I continued using it for about the next ten days and didn’t hear the sound again. What I did hear was the brake indicator telling me that the brake pads were getting low and needed to be changed. Since the car needed inspection by the end of the month, I decided to replace the brake pads right away.
As I was going through the process of changing the brake pads on the front wheels I could see the front suspension and frame very clearly. To my horror I saw that the front sub-frame was rusted through and broken in half. Very bad! The steering could have been affected and I could have lost control very easily.
Normally a frame cannot be welded because it won’t pass inspection per state regulations.

I was able to get the vehicle to a repair shop to get their opinion on what to do. They did say that the sub-frame could be replaced but it would take a few weeks and be quite expensive. I left it with the shop until I could figure out what to do.
I went on the computer to research what it would take to replace the sub-frame myself. I typed in the make and model and description of the problem. To my surprise I found that there was a recall from the manufacturer regarding that specific problem.
To make a long story short, the vehicle was picked up and taken to a dealer for complete repair. I was also given a rental car to use during the repair. No cost!
Praise the Lord!
He kept me safe while I drove a broken car.
He revealed to me that there was a recall in place.
He provided another vehicle while mine was being repaired.
Proverbs 2:8 says, “For He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones.”

Being an ambassador is something that you are. Every moment of every day you are intentionally trying to communicate the Gospel in ways that people can understand. It may mean sharing a testimony of God's faithfulness, like Scott did today. What is story of God working in your life? Who is someone that you can share that story with? Ask God for an opportunity!
