Joyous Prelude for Happy New Year
Happy New Year! It is 2015 already!
How can you prepare your heart for the New Year? This year God blessed me with a very cozy, precious experience…
It all started on Thursday, December 18 when I was in front of the manger scene at our Worship Center, getting ready for the staff communion that morning. From the stage I looked back onto the floor - so quiet, so peaceful, so full of hope! Deep down in me I wondered, "How would it look when the whole floor was packed with people? It must be great”, I visualized. Then six days later at the Christmas Eve service when we were singing Silent Night, I saw it! Sitting in the front row I looked back – I saw that powerful picture of candle light shining in the dark throughout the entire floor, accompanied with beautiful music, the same sort of intense quietness, peace and hope; all from the almighty power of the baby in the manger!
Since then the hymn “Go Light the World” kept ringing in my soul, and set the tone for my New Year … Yes, take our candles, run to the darkness - to seek the lonely, tired, and worn. Yes, year 2015 - go light the world for Lord!
Lord, Thank You for Your Hope!
