Nina Rapp / Former Ministry Assisstant
I
have worked at Eastern Hills for just under four years, and during those four
years God has taught me so much through Pastor Pat, my supervisors, and the
staff. They have taught me about things ranging from accounting practices, to
true worship, and to what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. They have
also become family to me.
The
months leading up to my job change were full of me fighting with God. I knew it
was time to leave, but I didn’t want to leave my family. To “solve” this problem,
I just ignored it. But as it is with ignoring things, it didn’t work so well.
God got a hold of me, and since then he has been providing me with peace and
assurance about it.
When
I asked God what he was thinking and what I was supposed to do, he answered me
with the song “God of Justice” by Tim Hughes. The whole point of the song is to
get out there and show Jesus to your world. So I accepted the job he had set
aside for me. God has blessed me with an amazing work family for the past four
years and now according to His plan, I get to go out and show the world the
things that I have learned from them.
“We
must go, live to feed the hungry
Stand beside the broken, we must go Stepping forward, keep us from just singing Move us into action, we must go, must go
Fill us up, send us out Lord
Fill us up and send us out, fill us up and send us out
Fill us up and send us out Lord”
