Dawn Waggoner / Executive Assistant

Recently my husband and I were out to dinner with his aunt and uncle. It was a slow night at the restaurant and our waitress spent some extra time talking to us. She shared about her recent move to Buffalo and the challenge to find a job that pays well. She and her husband have five kids ages two to fifteen. As we continued to speak to her, I got the sense that she was feeling overwhelmed by life or at least the financial challenges she had mentioned. As we were getting ready to leave I had the opportunity to ask her if she and her family had gotten connected to a church. She said not yet. I told her she would be welcome at Eastern Hills and her kids would probably love it too. She seemed to appreciate the invitation. Now I’m praying that we will see her soon at church.
