The Lord’s Assistance

Jesus spoke these words in John 5:17, “My Father has been working until now [He has never ceased working], and I too am working.” There are times when we speak on behalf of the Lord, and we don’t clearly see the results of our efforts.

Recently the leadership of the Monday Night Men’s Group challenged the men to present Psalm 119. The gathering of approximately 30 men were divided into subgroups of 3-4 men each and tasked with presenting their interpretation of God’s word.

Each of them stood up before the assembly of men and spoke of what God had revealed to them through the verses they presented. As each man spoke it became very apparent that the Holy Spirit had guided their thoughts and words. The effort taken to search the Bible to support and enhance their presentation along with the courage to speak on God’s behalf was truly God-ordained.

Be assured that if you put your trust in the Lord, and do your part in accepting the challenges of life set before you, the Lord will assist you in what He wants you to accomplish for Him. He is always working in and for each of us.
