The Joy of Being Part of the Body of Christ
Joe DeLozier / Pastor of Missions and Mobilization
As many of you may be aware, my wife Sue recently underwent full knee replacement surgery on June 20. During this time, God reminded me of the great value of being part of the church body. So many people reached out to Sue via text messages and cards with words of encouragement. Some spoke with me to pass on words of wisdom from their personal experiences of having a knee replaced. Additionally, there were many prayer warriors who brought us before the Throne of Grace as she went through the surgery and then her recovery and rehab. I can think of no better place to be, whether in good times or challenging times, than in the community of believers known as the Body of Christ.
“So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:25-26
