Fullness in Jesus
Charlene Montgomery / Lay Ministry Resident
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7
Just a little more than a year ago, my life changed – I entered a new season of life that I never saw coming! The Lord pursued me and is not letting go as He continually opens new doors for me and leads me in His ways.
Since coming to this church, I have hungered to know the Lord intimately – to have a true relationship with Him. This just might be a new season for you as well – as this church has and is offering so many ways to know the Lord, I encourage you to find and follow your path. My own path has taken me from “Discover Eastern Hills” to “Discover God” (Engage book) to Reboot classes, then God led me to the Discipleship classes (one year covering the Old Testament and one year covering the New Testament), and to serve in KidzPark with 2- and 3-year-olds and now kindergarten. I am now enrolled in the yearlong Colson Fellowship program, and I am interning at the church to learn Pastoral Lay Ministry if this is what the Lord is calling me to do.
My path is truly rooting me and building me up in strength and faith for His Kingdom. I thank God every day for calling me to live passionately for Him. Everyone’s path is different … pray that you can find yours and walk in it with faith and love.
