Unity in Christ

by Marie Romano

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love; Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

I don’t think there has been a time in our lives, no matter what we have been through, that has tested our patience and faith like the past year! None of us could ever imagined how Covid would affect all our lives and relationships. There is not one of us who has not changed in some fashion. I think to myself, the whole world has gone through this. My personal thoughts are that God is and was trying to get our attention. What does He want me to learn through all of this? He has taught me that I need my brothers and sisters in Christ.

As people who love Jesus, it is so important for us, more than ever, to remain in unity with each other with fellowship, prayer, and compassion. Our cities and country have not been a peaceful place. How can we share Jesus at this Christmas season to those who do not know the true meaning of it? I pray that our families and friends will come to know Jesus through our humbleness, patience, and gentleness to them and how we treat each other. If we allow Jesus’ light to be reflected through us, we can make a difference in our world, especially now.

Dear Jesus, may every person who reads this be filled with your peace and feel a new sense of unity with their family and friends this year. We all need you more than ever before. Thank You for leaving heaven and coming down to bring us hope and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
