I Need Help

Jenine Szymanski / Finance Assistant and Receptionist

I really enjoy Mondays. Most Mondays I have the pleasure of having lunch with a family with three young children. Inevitably someone needs help with something, and help is given, no questions asked.

The question brought to my mind is, when did I (we) lose that? The ability to ask for help, to let a need be known, knowing that others can, and will, help. Why, as I age, do I try things on my own and stay stuck in my struggles?

How often do I put on a false face, especially here at church, and pretend I’m fine? Church, instead of a place where everyone pretends to have everything together, should be more like a hospital. And who, if asked for help, would refuse?

My goal, going forward, is to not stay there. To not let the attempts of the enemy win. I will ask for help when needed. I’m here to help as well!

“A dear friend will love you no matter what, and a family sticks together through all kinds of trouble.” Proverbs 17:17 TPT
