I See Him In Everything

“The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.” Psalm 19:1
With the changing of seasons and all that comes with it … falling leaves, warm sweaters, comfort food, anticipation of the holidays, etc. I can’t help but think of our Creator and how He is wrapped up in it all.
My latest favorite song “Everything” by TobyMac gets my heart pumping and lips praising our amazing God and Creator who is up in everything. As the song goes…
I see You in everything, all day
And every beat of my heart keeps reminding me
I see You in every little thing, all day
No matter where I go I know Your love is finding me
I see You in everything
You’re all up in everything
These words remind me of a time I shared a metaphor with the kids shortly after my husband passed away. As we were driving down the thruway, we saw several huge sunbeams bursting through the clouds and touching the earth. In the rays were a mixture of bright whites and subtle grays. I was very moved at the sight. I told the kids to imagine those beams as Jesus’ robe touching the earth and the gray portions were the shadows of His robe. I told them that the white we see on earth cannot be compared to the magnificent white that is in heaven. I prayed their little minds grasped the greatness of our Heavenly Father and the wonder and beauty their earthly father was experiencing.
I’m so thankful for a God whose creation is a reminder of His majesty and whose love finds me wherever I go. May you too see His beauty and the subtlety of His love in EVERYTHING.
