Love
by Scott Wilson / Facility Manager
We use the term "Love" very frequently in our everyday conversation.
I “Love” your new car, I “Love” playing with the kids, I “Love” the weather we are having, etc...
How often do we consider what it means when we read God has “Love” for us, or we hear someone say, "Jesus Loves you"?
Most of us have heard or read the passage John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God’s love is like no other.
God loves us so much that He gave us the same spirit (power) that raised Jesus from the dead. We don't deserve it, and we certainly can't earn it because of our sinful nature. Because of His love for each us who have chosen to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God gave us the helper or counselor (Holy Spirit) to assist us in our everyday life. As crazy as it is!
In Deuteronomy 7:9 it says, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.”
We can show our love to Him by using the power of the spirit which He gave us to love those around us.
Thank You, God for Your love. May we love those around us as You love us.
