Earthly Riches

by Mike Griffin / Facility Maintenance Personnel

"Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.”  Proverbs 11:28

I’ve come to realize that all the stuff I’ve come to own isn’t really mine. My neighbor and friend next door just died. He had a lot of stuff in his garage. I used to tell him, Pete you should sell this stuff and go on a long vacation. Have some fun. You deserve it. Of course he didn’t sell anything, and now there it all is. It’s nice to have things, but I just look at things differently now. If anything the word of God has taught me, don’t build up all your treasures on earth. We won’t have them for long.

"Set your mind on things above, not on Earthly things.” Colossians 3:2
