Brittany Vohwinkel / Next Gen A/V Ministry Assistant

Lately I’ve been feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Here’s a little background: I work at the church and I am a graduate student in Mental Health Counseling at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. These past few months I have experienced a whole new level of busy. Things never seem to slow down and at times I actually forget to eat. Oops… Given the circumstances, I feel like I’ve been doing really well at keeping up with everything. Recently God has reminded me otherwise. I’m not the one that is doing well and succeeding. God is. Without Him I would be failing miserably with everything on my plate right now. There is no way that I could accomplish all that I am right now on my own. He is giving me the strength to carry on every day, even when I don’t think I could possibly write one more paper. There are times of doubt where I wonder if I can really handle it all, but God reminds me of His plan. He has a plan for me that is better than anything I could ever imagine. Sometimes I lose sight of the fact that my busy schedule is full of God’s blessings and that is something that is so important for me to remember. So when I feel overwhelmed, I take a deep breath and remind myself that God has it all worked out, even when I don’t.
