“Enter
His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and
praise His name.” Psalm 100:4
I
had the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter Andrea, son-in-law
Jerry and my two and a half month old grandson Josiah in Virginia. What a joy
it is to see your children grown and having children of their own. Watching my
daughter interact with her son was such a blessing to me; she loves being a
mom!
While
out for the day shopping with Andrea and Josiah my daughter turned to me and
said, “Thank you mom, I finally understand what you did for me.” Those words
were special to me and meant so much.
But
it makes me stop and think of my Heavenly Father…how often do I thank Him for
all He has done for me? Each day is a gift from Him and He has given me so much
to be thankful for. He has graciously blessed me with life, family, friends,
provisions, my church family, good health and especially the Gift of Salvation
through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ!
So
I would like to say to my Heavenly Father today, “Thank you Lord for all you
have done for me.”
